Our Vision
Air Date: September 17, 2012
One year from now we envision #RealTalk to be a fully functioning online radio station, stationed in Annandale High School, Annandale, Virginia. Airing live broadcasts hosted by a group of five students, three times a week, we envision a #RealTalk empire, accredited strongly to social media. Reaching out to students through Facebook, Twitter, and our #RealTalk Blog, we hope to create a unifying movement for teenagers to listen and speak their minds on issues ranging from pop culture to current events. Most importantly, we envision a place for adolescents to voice their opinions, learn about current events, and connect with one another.
The second year will be an important for #RealTalk. We hope to have more experience from the previous. The program handed down to the incoming juniors, will have a larger outreach through social media, which will then entail to a greater audience. We hope to have multiple fundraisers, to raise money to upgrade our technological capabilities.
By the third year we hope to have a stronger campaign that is stable and experienced. By, then we hope to have the capabilities of holding conferences and more hands on events with high school listeners. Bringing podcasts to life, we hope to have guest speakers come talk to students and a live discussion with teens to talk.
